Good for the price, but one caution
I purchased this stylus for a little over $5. Not a bad price. As indicated in previous ratings this works fine, but it doesn't seem that stable when attempting to write text with the stylus. When I use it to browse the web, or select icons it is fine. It seems to create blanks spots when I am using it to write text. For $5 it is about what I expected. Ok, so here is the caution. There is a small lanyard with an audio port clip on the stylus. This is used to tether the stylus to your device when you aren't using it. I used it for about a month, and then the tip of it broke off inside of my device. With the tip stuck inside of the device I was not able to listen to audio on the device. Here is a link I found for getting the broken off tip out of the device. [...]If this review does not contain the link, just google "So you've broke your plug off into your audio jack? ."It took about 10 minutes, and I was back in business. I would recommend this stylus, but I would recommend not using that tether feature.

A very good addition to the Dell Venue 8 Pro
This is a very nice stylus with the perfect form-factor for use with the Dell Venue 8 Pro. The tip is a little larger than I would like, but it still allows for decent note taking (using MS One Note) on the tablet. I also like the smaller size of the stylus body as it fits perfectly on the Folio case for the tablet.

Hit or Miss...
When it works, it works but when it fails to result in the response I expected based on my use of the stylus, it doesn't. It may be that I'm not accustomed to using it yet, so I'll continue to use it in the hope I get more positive response as I go forward. The stylus fits comfortably in my hands. I'm ambidextrous so I detect no difference using the stylus in either hand. That being said, I'll keep it with the case and use it until I don't. It was so inexpensive I don't consider it a waste of expenditure in any way, even with the hit or miss aspect mentioned previously. None of which means the product is faulty, it may just be the Dell device's understanding and acceptance of the input from the stylus - in my attempts to use it.Though pleased thus far with the Dell Venue 8 Pro (64GB) the dearth of Apps is very apparent. Yes, I was aware Windows lacked in that area, and not being an X-box game person, nor a Playstation game person for that matter, I'm not too excited or interested in the games avaliable for the device. I do enjoy a few quick games of Chess every now and then. Unfortunately, I play them on my iPhone & iPod instead of the tablet, but it does have some value when I do work on it. I admit it looks like an iPad Air or a Samsung Note tablet will be in my future. I'm in no hurry at the moment though...

Better (and cheaper) than the Dell stylus
I got this at first because the Dell stylus was not available, but after using both for a few minutes, I greatly prefer this one over Dell's. It may be that for some very precise uses, the Dell active stylus is better, but for normal navigation and use, I really prefer this one.

One tiny complaint
I like the stylus very much. I wish it would have a little longer tether but other than that it is fine. The price is much better than any I could find in stores and it was delivered quickly. It fits quite well in the case I purchased but the length of the tether is bothersome.

BOXWAVE PRO STYLUS
CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE. DOING THE JOB AS ANY OTHER STYLUS WOULD DO. IT JUST THAT I PAID $5.95 BUT WORTH EVERY STROKE ON MY DEVICE, I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED THE BLUE. AND GETTING THE SAME PERFORMANCE AS THE FIRST I PROMISED MY SON THAT I WOULD GET ONE FOR HIS NEW TAB.

works great!
i'm not used to using a stylus but i truly like this one 'cause i prefer it to using my fingers. i adapted quickly and i'm more than satisfied with the quality of the product (and the price which is why i bought 2!)

good stylus for the money
Not for drawing or art, butgood replacement for my stubby fingers. however if u leave it pressed on the screen a bit longer, it becomes a double tap. and its easier to type letters with your fingers on the touchscreen keyboard. using the stylus sometimes double tap the letters.
