Recieved very good!
Recieved the DVD case in perfect condition. The best one yet! However, one of the CDs had minor scratches, so my 5 stars went to 4 stars. It should have zero scratches considering I bought it new. I was going to return it if the disc had problems playing, but luckily it played fine. Love Naruto!

Series takes a major step back, still poor packaging (although great price!)
This isn't going to be a popular stance here as this set for some reason has a solid 5 stars, but man this is the biggest joke in the Naruto series. Now, if you're like me you'll still watch them, but first off what is with this Scooby-Doo nonsense going on? Seriously, the plot of the first storyline is straight out of an episode of Scooby-Doo, complete with masked mystery men and hologram projectors to scare off those "meddling kids". I mean this is just insulting, as the rest of the Naruto series definitely tip-toed that line between being an adult anime, but this is a straight saturday-morning kids show. Seriously, Kakashi friggin stands there and has some weak ninja throw stars at his back, doesn't even attempt to evade them, and then Naruto just runs past enemies and they somehow all fall down defeated? Just...wow, what a joke. Sloppy animation, poor storylines, zero character development, and Naruto's voice-actor (English) got very sloppy here as well. The other voice actors were still spot-on, just no real amazing dialogue scripted for them. And the case is still in the cruddy box set that is very easy to have damaged in shipping with no extras. So yeah, even if its not popular I'm going to rate this as I really feel, which is that it is merely OK. I still recommend buying it and the price is great, but lets not kid ourselves into thinking this is 5-star worthy either.

great buy
28 episode total (164-191). Season 4 V1. Mostly fillers but really entertaining. We see a lot of team work among naruto and his friends from choji-ramen competition. INO- swamp monster. neji-meterorite land of bears. One tough hinata-land of greens to protect a princess.

Ordered the wrong item. Did not realize there are different groupings in each season. I wish there had been more details about the seasons and episodes.

It's Pretty Good!
I bought this as a gift for my nephew who loves Naruto but had never seen the whole series. I bought him this season and he has watched every episode back to back. He tells me every time how much he loves it, even forcing me to sit and watch it with him some times. And in all honesty it's pretty good. Funny. Intriguing. May have to sit down and watch it all beginning to end myself. Definitely a good series and most definitely a great buy!

Love It, Action Packed, With Comedy To
Yep Naruto is still my favorite butt kicking ramen fiend and hiliraious as ever, this is a more adult version of the Naruto characters a very nice treat for us Naruto fans because we get to see how they've progressed. This is totally awesome I'm not giving an indepth review because other reviewers have already done so, but they are all right this is totally amazing true Naruto fans will love it

Filler....., lots and lots of filler!
This review is for BOTH Season 4 Box Set 1 AND Box Set 2.Like the Season 3, 2nd box set; the Naruto Season 4 box sets 1 and box sets 2 are all filler! And like the preceding box set; the filler ranges from pretty good to pretty silly depending on the episode. With no new important powers or any real advancement to the overall storyline.SEASON 4, BOXSET ONE -So in the case of the Season 4, Box Set 1 it starts off with a side story concerning Anko and what happened to her when she was Orochimaru's Genin (which is probably one of the best storylines in this boxset), then a major storyline concerning a star crystal that is beefing up Ninja fighters to an incredible degree but with deadly consequences and finally ends with another pretty good storyline about a small Land of the Green under siege by rogue ninja which isn't too bad. Interspersed with small or single episodes that range from okay to downright silly. In other words, typical filler.I'd give the first Anko storyline a 4 as it does quite a bit to fill in her backstory; perhaps a 3-1/2 for the Star Crystal and Land of the Green story arcs. Everything else from 2 to 4 depending on the episode. In other words this box set is okay, but you can live without it.SEASON 4, BOXSET TWO -As for the Season 4, Box Set 2; it's basically a continuation of Box Set 1 which starts off with an old carpenter by the name of Gennou who may be a lot more than he pretends and then like the first box set continues with a pretty good side story regarding Kurenai and an ex pupil of hers who could be a great danger to them all. Then follows that up with major storylines about so-called Ninja dropouts and ends with ninjas from the artisan village that's pretty good although ironically it's because of all the major flashbacks to the horrific final battles against the Sound Ninja Four which once again highlights just how good the original non-filler Naruto series really was!As a result, like the previous Anko storyline; I'd give the Kurenai arc a 4 as well as the first Gennou storyline. And between 2 to 4 on the rest depending on the particular episode. Since nobody can really advance or gain any new powers of consequence. Sakura and Ino in particular seeming to get relegated to nothing more than take good care of the wounded rather than the dramatic warriors of earlier times! Still this box set does give a good summing up of the series and it does manage a reasonably good setup for the upcoming Shippuden series!Overall, I'd give the two box sets a three.J. A.

Oh well its good for me to try tedious things
Alot of this is just filler and not that interesting. I should have just skipped to Shippuden! Oh well its good for me to try tedious things. Right?
