Good product have a grinder for throttle bracket
I have a 2002 silverado1500hd. Bolts were a little long. Instructions say to keep old silicone gasket. I ended up using both gaskets that the kit came with to increase the depth of the area between the throttle body and the intake manifold. Also had to modify the throttle cable bracket so the engine cover would go back on. The air intake tube was a tight fit against the fan shroud but still fit. Great product for the price. And it came with a carb sticker

Solid product, didn't fit my HD
The product said it fit my 2005 Chevy 2500 HD but didn't due to a hard water line coming out of the intake that didn't leave room for it to mount just right. The water line could probably be changed but I forced it on and tried it for a couple days and it didn't make much difference on my HD so it wasn't worth changing other stuff to fit it.. I know it will also fit a half ton so I am hanging on to it just in case I end up with one someday. I did put a Spectre throttle body spacer on my 89 Silverado with a TBI 350 and It made a world of difference so I know spacers do work.

For motors with electric cooling fan.
This spacer does not fit on a 03 Chevy (my truck) with a 6.0 motor that has a belt driven fan. I bought this at the same time as the Spectre cold air intake 9900 and installed the intake first to check its clearance to the fan shroud. It's very tight but fits. There is no way with a belt driven fan set up that the spacer will fit. I did not try to install the spacer with the stock intake, it migh fit, but looking at it i dont think so. ( why would you install a TB spacer on a stock IT anyway?) I am converting to electric fans so there will be room for it after that is done. I'm posting three stars. Amazon says it fits but If not for electric fan conversion I would have to send back.

Little MPG improvement.
On my 06 GMC Sierra 5.3 there is a fuel return line on the bottom of the throttle body. Very limited access to get the clamps on and off. Murphy came thru too as the line was about 1 inch to short to re-hook the line. So I had to stop mid job to go get a foot of fuel line. I have not seen much improvement in MPG(maybe half a gal improvement). Throttle response is good it feels quicker(seat of the pants measurement). 4 stars because the instruction did not tell me about the fuel return line.

It works
I had my mechanic install it on my 2000 Silverado with the 6.0 engine/auto trans, long bed and crew cab, my truck is an LS but it has the 4L80E trans (heavy duty). well I been getting 15-16 mpg on my Los Angeles to Vegas trips, After the install of the spacer I am getting 17.5-18 mpg. I set the cruise control at 75 mph, no tickets and people just go around me, even in the slow lane. So this should pay for it self soon since im getting an extra mile per gallon... that's 30 miles more per round trip tank full equaling about 2 gallons of fuel I am saving per round trip... about $10.00 savings per trip is not bad.

02' Avalanche - Noticable power/pick up
Installed on my 02' Avalanche 5.3l. I can notice the difference immeaditly. I can feel more power, an the pick up. At the time I also did a basic oil change so no other parts were added (for all your doubting Thomas's)Installation took about an hour. I did however have to cut about 1/4 of an inch into my fan shield for the air intake. But it really wasn't much.I wouldn't say an average joe could install it easily, but I really didn't have any issues with installation.

Great investment a cheap way to boost horsepower
Installed in a 05 GMC Sierra with a 5.3 engine. It has made a huge difference in pick up power. Great investment and a cheap way to boost horsepower. Water hose attached to throttle runs a little tight and gave me trouble to put back in to place. Other than that, install was a breeze and took less than 45 mins. You will need a torque wrench to tighten throttle bolts to specs.

Helps busy shifting
Did not come with third bolt for mounting throttle cable on 99 4.8. Did work with two though.Helped OD not shift as much on grades. Helped throttle response. Nothing to write home about but improved drive ability at speed. No take off increase at all.Combined with blackbear tune, Spectre CAI, non oiled filter and straight pipes it will let a 4.8 dust a 5.3.
