NeoCharge saved me $4k and worked right out of the box
The media could not be loaded. Included an unboxing video to show everything in the box.Heard about NeoCharge from a friend who got their two EV model. I've been swapping my dryer and Tesla plugs for about a year and it's gotten to be quite a pain since the electrician originally told me it'd cost $4000 to put in a dedicated charger due to a maxed-out panel. Didn't want to do that so I sucked it up and moved my dryer around 2-3x per week to get to the outlet. Honestly I wish I knew about NeoCharge sooner.I already had a adapter since the charger has a different plug type (make sure you set it to 24 amps so you dont trip your breaker). Got the Smart Splitter and it installs really easy. Just needed to unscrew 2 screws on the outlet to then attach the mounting bracket. Really smart design. I like that it plugs in directly since my wife would kill me for putting more holes in the wall than we already have.Splitter works like a charm. Start the dryer, and the car gets cuts off after about 3 seconds. After dryer finishes the power turns back on on the car side. Very neat product. Cudos to whoever came up with this idea. On a separate note - my buddy with two EVs says that the 1450 (two EV) version allows for some dynamic power splitting where he can charge one after the other, or at the same time depending on his charger settings.Highly recommend to EV drivers since I know a lot of people are probably still swapping plugs like I was. NeoCharge had some articles on their website about why you shouldn't do that because it is is bad for the outlet and actually becomes a fire hazard if you do it too often. I asked their customer support and they recommended swapping out my wall outlet since it's probably worn down by down. Haven't done it yet but have a new outlet coming next week that is allegedly industrial grade and is the best for EV charging long term.Hoping this review helps others save time with some of the pains being of a new EV driver and charging.

Not Sponsored, Just Impressed – Even After I Fried Mine
Had this for almost two years, worked perfectly—then one day, boom, just stopped. Had my dryer (primary) and Tesla (secondary) plugged in, and it just died outta nowhere.Honestly, I was worried about support (thought it might be one of those random overseas companies), but nope—they’re actually super responsive. Turns out they design this in Cali, so I guess HQ’s in the U.S. too. Anyway, they walked me through troubleshooting, and when it still didn’t work, they just sent me a new one. No hassle.Turns out, I messed up—I had my EV set to charge at 30-34A when my NEMA plug is 30A, and yeah… apparently, that melts stuff (whoops). Should’ve been 24A max. Didn’t know, but now they make it clearer in their guides. But man, this thing is a lifesaver. Plug in my EV? Starts charging in a few secs. Turn on the dryer? EV stops. No more running to the basement to flip plugs. Works exactly how you’d want it to.Oh, and the app? Ehh, mostly just for software updates. Nothing crazy. And nah, this ain’t sponsored or anything—just genuinely happy with it. Even with the issue (which was 100% my fault), I’d still buy it again.

Does not allow to adjust amps.
This product does not control your EV charger amps. My breaker is 30A and on the app saying the amps is 24.3, I thought it was ok but after 30mins, my breaker down and very hot. This hub does not do its work. I am returning it.

Great tool to share a NEMA 14-50 outlet between 2 cars
This splitter lets me share a NEMA 14-50 outlet between a MINI Cooper SE and a Tesla Model Y. I set the MINI to charge as soon as it’s plugged in, and the Tesla at 2am. So, technically I could have bought a cheap splitter with no computer brain, but then I’d always worry about whether the MINI wasn’t finished charging when the Model Y kicked in at 2am. This actually did happen one time, and the Model Y immediately stopped charging and waited for the MINI to finish. So, I’ve only actually “tested” it once, but it worked great. One feature that is not well advertised is that both outlets get a low amount of current at all times, so when you plug in your car and it’s not yet time to charge, it still gets enough current to “know” it’s plugged in. This is good also because it lets your car run accessories from the plug instead of draining the battery. The app is only so-so, but honestly I have barely used it. I actually didn’t set it up until I had been using the splitter for a few days so you hardly even need it at all. I really just did it so the device would get over-the-air firmware updates. Everything is running perfect so far 🤞

Works well
I bought this to split a dryer outlet with an ev charger and probably saved at least $1000-$2000 to have an electrician to wire a new outlet. While 24 amps certainly isn’t the quickest charging rate, it gets the job done. I drive 100 miles a day maybe 150 on certain days and an overnight charge gets the job done. The splitter is super easy to install. Really the only installation is screwing in the bracket to hold it securely (and when I say screw the bracket and screws go over your existing face plate on the outlet - so you’re not making new holes in the wall). It automatically starts and stops without issue. I like that it is up listed and feels solid. Price was fair- don’t cheap out when you’re playing with electricity. My only complaint is that I’m not a huge fan of the app but perhaps the app will get better with time. Additionally the app apparently doesn’t integrate with ford evs but I think that’s fords fault. I would buy again 100%.
