In mid-late 2013 I purchased a 1TB Toshiba Canvio external hard drive. I also bought a protective case with it. Big mistake! I wish I would have seen this last year! Love this product- its comfortable to feel, nice to look at and gives new meaning to the term fashionable protection.The inside is soft; just enough cushion to protect but feels luxurious at the same time. Ample room for my external hard drive and maybe a couple of small wires or headphones, small accessories. Biggest like about this is the shell casing. It's actually HARD and will protect for the home user to the on the go user.Bottom line- a $12 investment to effectively protect your backup drive! This should be a "must have" for anybody who uses an external hard drive and wants to maintain it at its best.I'm sure there are better ones out there, but for the price, you don't have anything to lose at all!! Package arrived on time and in mint condition. There is nothing I don't like about it!

I love everything about this product. It's colors are as vibrant as in the photo. I find this a nice case to hold in your hand because the fabric is nice to touch. The inside holds my Seagate 5 T hard drive perfectly, not a lot of wiggle room which translates into not a larger item to carry when I transport my hard drive. It feels sturdy, and I feel confident in its ability to protect the hard drive. It has a quality zipper, easy to use and a nice wrist strap. I was looking for something slim and fun, why be boring when you can have something that makes you smile when you see that awesome cover!

I got this to protect my external HD, which is a 2TB WD My Passport Studio. This is bigger than the small capacity drives, and reviews warned than some of the other options were not suitable. After carefully measuring my case and checking the dimensions listed in the specs, I bought this one on the basis of it's excellent reviews. I am extremely happy and recommend it with no reservations. The case it hard and gives great protection. The inner lining is soft and well padded. There is an elastic band that keeps the case snug, preventing any shaking while on the move. The two cables that come with the HD: USB and Firewire will not, however fit in the case if you have a drive of this size. They will need to be kept separately. For smaller drive cables will probably fit it the small internal pouch. Overall, a GREAT CASE!

This case provides excellent protection for the Western Digital My Passport external hard drive. BUT it also provides excellent protection for the Seagate Wireless Plus external hard drive which I use to hold video and audio data for use streaming through my iPad. Buying this was an experiment that worked out wonderfully. The measurements at Amazon for this case were accurate enough that I was able to buy it for my Seagate drive even though it wasn't absolutely clear that it would fit. It fits very well and there is also room for the cable and attachment necessary to attach the Seagate to a USB charger to get charged and to my PC to load my media files on it.

I bought this for my Spotify Car Thing. It is a little big but it works great. This is the perfect case to transport it in. I was using a lunch bag and obviously that is dangerous.I use a cloth glasses drawstring bag to protect the screen inside the case.

This case is very durable and can accommodate more then your portable HDD and its cable. I have a WD MyPassport and it can hold the HDD, its cable, a flash drive, lip balm, a thin plastic card holder, iphone usb cable, its usb to outlet converter, and metal ring(s). Needless to say you can fit quite a few items in here, focus on positioning them around the HDD itself and place the softest items in the most forwards position making contact with the HDD for additional shock absorption (such as the rubber portions of either cables mentioned prior). The case having all of these can still close comfortably and the wrist strap is very useful and durable as well.

My first concern is they have list all available brand names in the name but it doesn't fit all, it might be a good fit for all portable hard drives but not for the standard hard drives, i bought it for my My Book 2 GB External hard drive and this case it smaller than the hard drive itself, please remove the "My Book" from the name

Used this for my WD My Passport External hard drive.... Looks like I can drop this case and my hard drive will survive.... Love the case design and how solid the case is.. Also the soft fabric makes it easy to store in bags and luggage.
