Great buy for a fantastic toilet
First off, we love the Toto Neorest! After having a Toto washlet for years, the dream of having the fully automatic toilet was realized. This was mainly possible because the vendor, Mega Supply, was selling the open box (unused) item at a deep discount. We're happy that we took the chance and saved several hundred dollars by choosing this option. There are 2 boxes. It was easy to see that the larger one had been opened and the serial #s were removed. The contents were in new condition and the plumber had no problem installing it. All of the necessary parts and documents were included. It appeared that none of it had been removed from the box, per the seller's description. If we needed another Neorest we'd snatch up another open box from this seller. It was a great bargain and the shipping was free (thank you Amazon Prime) and very fast!

Awesome, but one thing you should know...
Having a Toto is a life changer. I lived 5 years in Japan (where this type of toilet is almost standard and a lot cheaper). One thing to note is that in Japan, usually the toilet is in its own room, separate from the shower/bath. I got two of these, one for powder room and one for master bath. I regret getting the master bath one because we had to shut off all the automatic functionality because of the noise it makes when you go in there to brush teeth, take shower, etc. And at night it may be hard to see the controls since the light it throws comes from the toilet and doesn't light up the remote. But the toilet itself is well worth it if its in the right place considering you use it a few times every singe day.

An expensive luxury
Frankly I was a little nervous about buying such an expensive item on amazon, however everything went perfectly, the product works exactly as described, arrived within days, good communication. from seller, it comes as a very large package, but the deliverydriver was kind enough to help unpack it so that it could be transported up to my apartment. Overall very satisfied. Needs professional installation, unless you are very handy.

It does require your toilet area to be wired.
It's awesome!

Holy Crap!!
After having spent some time in Korea - this thing seemed awesome. They were all over in the hotels and I vowed to get one when I got back to the states. Finally got it on Amazon for a reasonable price and this thing is awesome. We installed it in the main floor bathroom - the one that gets the most use - everyone who tries it, absolutely loves it... and believe me, most everyone going to use it is very skeptical.... after using it, most are asking where they can get it!!As for the unit itself - a couple of things to know...The installation instructions are horrible - best to get the installation instructions off the internet - there's an installation video on youtube for a Toto 750h that is perfect for this one too.... it's a great installation video by a company out of Seattle.... Installing it was pretty easy and the remote control unit is awesome....It seems like it uses a bit of power as the seat heat is on most of the time. There is a power save mode which we haven't tried - I was initially thinking that the seat heated once the motion sensor activated the lift top, but evidently the seat is heated all the time... most people that use the toilet - love the heated seat, including me. So just keep in mind the heated seat is on all the time while not in power save mode... in power saver mode, the seat is on based on when the most active time of use are - instructions say it takes 5-10 days to figure this out by the system - kind of a cool feature....The toilet comes with an awesome installation template - that you can lay on the floor to determine any drill holes or cutouts necessary - I went from a wall mounted toilet to a floor mounted one.... once I got the new hole cut and plumbed - it all was easy to install....Would highly recommend.....

Great. Electrical and Plumbing Tips
We purchased two Neorest 550H toilets. The first picture shows our guest bath with the electrical receptacle placed behind the toilet with the wire out of sight. The second picture shows our master bath with the electrical receptacle to the right of the toilet. I like the guest bath set-up but it did take a little work to finesse the plastic off the side of the toilet to get the unit plugged in. Plan your plumbing. The units need a water supply that comes out of the wall (not the floor). Once the toilet(s) are installed you won't have access to the water supply shut-off from the bathroom. The shut-off has to be either in the basement/crawlspace, or, through a panel in the opposite room. If your home was built on a slab and your toilet was going to be positioned on an outside wall, I don't know where you'd put the water supply shut-off? Before buying this expensive pleasure, download the installation instructions and consult your plumber to give you a price for plumbing and installation. Our plumber took nearly two hours to install the first toilet and half that time to do the second one. The instructions come in English/Spanish/French/Japanese and Korean. I've read in another review that if your toilet needs to be serviced, you'll need to ship it to California. It's too complex for anyone but Toto to work on it. That said, we've had guests RAVE about staying over and going to the bathroom. Strange right? Want to hear something stranger? I HATE having to give guests verbal instructions about how to use a toilet. Maybe we should have gotten a standard toilet for the guest bath.

After five years of use
My Neorest has never failed after five years.I use Charlies Soap All purpose spray cleaners every three to five days to prevent heavy water marks. Several levels of water pressure control is very versatile for cleansing need. The only small irritation is not the toilet but the location of the toilet; which is before I go into the shower. The lid will lift with every movement but even with that issue,it never broke down.I am still enjoying the use of Neorest as much as the day I purchased five years ago.
